April 15, 2025: Jamison Wagner, a 40-year-old man from Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been arrested and charged with federal arson-related crimes. He is accused of setting fire to a Tesla showroom in Bernalillo on February 9, 2025, and the New Mexico Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque on March 30, 2025. In both incidents, Wagner allegedly used incendiary devices and spray-painted political messages, including “Die Elon” and “ICE=KKK.”

Evidence and Investigation
During a search of Wagner’s residence, authorities discovered materials consistent with those used in the arson attacks, including incendiary devices and spray paint. Surveillance footage and physical evidence linked Wagner to the crimes. The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are leading the investigation, treating the incidents as acts of domestic terrorism.

Legal Consequences
Wagner faces two counts of malicious damage or destruction of property by fire or explosives. If convicted, he could face up to 40 years in prison. Federal prosecutors have stated that no plea deal will be offered, emphasizing a strict stance against politically motivated violence.
