Update: The eight-time Grammy winner has postponed his Friday and Saturday shows after sustaining a neck injury earlier this week.
Usher Concert Postponed
R&B Legend Usher canceled the first night of his “Past Present Future Tour” hours before the show was set to begin. The singer was dealing with physical pain that wasn’t subsiding in the lead-up to the show. He posted a message to his Instagram apologizing to the fans for the last-minute cancellation.
His statement read “For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans,””I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal. You’re still going to get a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date but you’ll also be getting 100% of me.””The last thing I want to ever do is disappoint you, the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start. However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best.”.
Are the other show also get postponed?
The next two shows following the first date on the tour are also taking place in Atlanata. No news has currently been shared about rescuedling the first night of Atlanta shows. It’s also currently unknown if other shows will get cancelled. Fans hope for Usher’s speedy recovery and that they can see his show when he’s in healthy condition.
