Brandon Sklenar Distances Himself from ‘It Ends With Us’ Co-Star Drama
Actor takes a neutral stance after initially backing Blake Lively in legal battle with Justin Baldoni
April 11, 2025: Brandon Sklenar, star of the upcoming film It Ends With Us, was once publicly supportive of Blake Lively amid her legal battle with co-star Justin Baldoni. In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her—claims he has firmly denied.
A Shocking Legal Counter
Following Lively’s claims, Baldoni fired back with a massive $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit. His legal action named not just Lively, but also her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, further fueling one of Hollywood’s most high-profile disputes.
Sklenar Steps Back from the Spotlight
After previously sharing a New York Times article supporting Lively’s claims, Sklenar has now chosen to stay neutral. During recent appearances—including CBS Mornings and the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party—he avoided commenting on the legal drama, instead redirecting focus to the film’s message about love, healing, and supporting women.

Pressure in the Public Eye
In February, Gayle King pressed Sklenar on CBS Mornings, asking whether he was “Team Blake or Team Justin.” Sklenar sidestepped the question, reiterating his belief in “letting the legal process play out.” His answer reflected his intention to keep his role in the film separate from the off-screen controversy.
