HOLR’s Honest Review and Opinion: La Roche Posay Effaclar Range
HOLR had the opportunity to thoroughly test out the Effaclar range to see if it’s actually worth the hype. As a result, I’m dishing all the details of my experience with the collection, my must-haves from the lineup, and what worked best for my sensitive skin!
I decided to fully immerse myself in the La Roche Posay Effaclar lineup by revamping my skincare routine to include four of the brand’s star products.
After removing my makeup, I start my cleansing routine with the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel. I lather the product between my palms and apply it in circular motions around my face before rinsing it off. I love how soft and gentle the cleanser feels on my skin and how clean it makes my skin look and feel.
Next up, I apply a few drops of the Effaclar Ultra Concentrated Serum all over my face. This melts right into my skin and doesn’t feel tacky or sticky after a few minutes, which I definitely appreciate. It also leaves my skin with a healthy, dewy glow.
Finally, I use the Effaclar Duo (+) Global Acne Treatment and apply it to my problem areas, using it to spot treat some active breakouts. I let this sit overnight and when I wake up I can tell my breakouts look visibly smaller and less noticeable. A little goes a long way so this is a holy-grail item for me!
During cleansing routines where my skin requires a little extra self-care and attention, I will swap out the foaming gel for the Effaclar Micro-Purifying Gel to ensure an all-over deep clean. I love how gentle this feels when applied and how smooth-yet clean- my skin looks after using it. As someone who struggles with blackheads right around my nose, this product really helps to unclog my pores.
After testing out these star products, there were definitely some favourites amongst the group- those of which include the Effaclar Duo (+) Global Acne Treatment and the Effaclar Ultra Concentrated Serum. These two have made it into my can’t-live-without skincare essentials pile as I noticed almost immediate results after using them.
The Effaclar Duo (+) Global Acne Treatment is perfect for spot-treating breakouts and only took a few hours to work its magic- the next morning they were visibly less red and irritated! The Effaclar Ultra Concentrated Serum gives my face a serious glow that I can’t get over- it’s a must-have for me!
Every product worked well for my sensitive skin, and I didn’t notice any irritation once applied. As someone who has sensitive skin, these products are miracle workers in terms of how well they work- in addition to how well they work together. After 1 week of use, I noticed my skin looked and felt more nourished and radiant. My active breakouts also healed faster!
So, what’s my verdict? ThThe La Roche Posay Effaclar range is WORTH IT!
I’m a huge fan of all of the above products, but I can’t wait to try out the rest of the lineup. As someone who struggles with sensitive skin, these products felt gentle to use but worked hard to provide me with smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin. I also noticed how quickly some of my active breakouts cleared up in a matter of days after introducing these products into my everyday routine.
My skin and I truly loved the above products, so if I were to recommend anything from the La Roche Posay Effaclar range, it would be these four, as they did a fantastic job at clearing up my skin while being gentle yet effective.
