This past Sunday Dua Lipa wore not one but two Versace looks to the Grammys. Her red carpet look may have looked quite familiar to some as she wore the same dress that Cindy Crawford wore in 1992.

The 3-time Grammy winner attended the show to present Best New Artist alongside Megan Thee Stallion, where they both showed up on stage wearing the same dress. The bit was all an act as Donnatella Versace herself was attending the show, came upon the stage, pulled a few strings and made both girls’ looks look totally different. Although that was quite an iconic moment, those were not the dresses that have impressed everyone.

Dua Lipa showed up on the Grammy’s red carpet in a vintage dress made by Versace in 1992 and worn by Cindy Crawford and Tyra Banks. This iconic dress is truly timeless, it has a strappy neckline, all leather and of course is accessorized with the very iconic Versace medusa medallion.

Dua Lipa posted on Instagram after the carpet some photos and videos of her walking the carpet and captioned it “a little bit of 1992” as the photo went viral Cindy Crawford saw and decided to post her throwback, posting her in the dress in 1992 and Dua in the dress 30 years later. She captioned it “then and now, timeless” which Donatella commented “Absolutely timeless!”

The dress itself truly is a timeless piece that even with 30 years in between wears you cannot even tell that it is something vintage. The leather look, the lace corset and of course the gold accents are truly something that has never gone out of style.

One of the only things that have changed is the hairstyle, and I truly hope that the hair in 1992 does not come back in 2022. It’s truly great to see these ladies rock something so timeless, I wonder who we will see rock this iconic Versace dress in another 30 years, who knows maybe they aren’t even born yet, or maybe Dua and Cindy will pull it out of the closet.
