Chinese Tennis Star Peng Shuai released a statement that the Chinese Vice Premier sexually assaulted her in 2017, since Nov 2nd, she has been missing.

The WTA and many players in the tennis community and celebrities have spoken about the worry for the whereabouts of Peng as she has now been missing for 18 days. The WTA has been very concerned for her health and safety and has demanded that China investigate her whereabouts and her allegations against former Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli.

Peng has been known in the tennis world as both the French Open and Wimbledon doubles champion. Peers and players like Novak Djokovic, Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams and Billie Jean King, have put out prayers and sent love to Peng and her family and have started the #Whereispengshuai trend on social media.

As Peng released her statement on WeChat, the days that followed the WTA, UN and White House all made statements involving Peng and the issues of China. The WTA and the UN demanded the investigation and whereabout of Peng as she has not been seen.

The White House was ‘considering’ boycotting the Bejing 2022 Winter Olympics because of how the country handled their human rights issues.

As China says they are not aware of the Peng Shuai situation and that it is not a diplomatic situation. With Pengs whereabouts and health and safety still at play the WTA, UN and White House are all still trying their best to fight China and find Peng.
