As usual, Copenhagen Fashion Week showcases the sexiest trends for the next Spring/Summer season. This fashion week is unlike any other and breathes new life into the already vibrant metropolis.

Copenhagen is more lively, colourful, and attractive during the CPHFW. Amazing street fashion and a stellar schedule of fashion shows are everywhere in the city. The greatest Scandinavian vibes, new and known designers, and the coolest street style in Europe can all be found here.

This season at CPHFW, ROTATE, which presented a collection with a disco party concept, and GANNI, whose runway featured numerous collaborations, were two of our top picks. With a powerful yet delicate collection, Stine Goya explored contrast, and Wood Wood put together a runway to honour artistic communities. War’s aftereffects served as the inspiration for (di)vision’s collection, whereas Holzweiler offered dreamy yet practical designs with parachutes and workwear-inspired accents.

Rotate made everyone feel festive by capping Copenhagen’s spring/summer 2023 season with a disco-themed dance party, which was appropriate for a brand known for its partywear. For this collection, Rotate showcased its recognizable bold designs combined with vibrant colors and several nods to Nineties fashion in the form of revealing slip dresses and frivolous miniskirts. One standout was the flaming Theresa Dress, which marked ROTATE’s entry into Web3 and concurrently released as an augmented reality (AR) experience and an NFT.

One of the highlights of Copenhagen Fashion Week is typically the Ganni show, and this season was no exception. The SS23 collection, appropriately titled “Joyride,” was inspired by creative director Ditte Reffstrup’s passion for cycling around the Danish city in the summer. It featured a harbour-front catwalk, models in cheery brights, more sustainable textiles than ever before, and even some bicycle stunts.

The (di)vision brand by Simon and Nana Wick has grown to be a significant draw for Copenhagen Fashion Week, and their success appears to have opened the door for a new generation that doesn’t cleanly fit into stereotypes of what Danish or Nordic fashion may be. Although the (Di)vision brand has a more unpolished than polished appearance, there is undoubtedly a hyggeligt element to it thanks to the close-knit group of friends that participate in many activities, including strolling down this runway.

The Spring/Summer 2023 collection, “In Motion,” included parachute-inspired details in its clothing and accessories. Rings held together skirts with ruching, and hanging ripstop cords produced a fringe-like effect that contrasted floral designs. These cords received a stylish makeover and appeared as belts, harnesses, backpack straps, and other accessories. Models glided gracefully down the runway while channeling the dreamy spirit that was also reflected in the use of pastel hues including malachite, travertine, cerulean, and desert dust.
