The pair recently filed for divorce (simultaneously!) after announcing their separation earlier this year. They claim to have separated early in 2023, in which the divorce papers filed highlight February 20, 2023, as their official date of separation. As noted here, the petition for divorce from Grande’s legal team outlines that the duo supposedly separated one year and nine months after they got married.
According to the blind item, Grande seemingly paid off Gomez to use this separation date as it would allegedly make her “look better.” Grande was in hot water recently after it was discovered that she was seeing co-star Ethan Slater while she and Gomez were separated.
