According to PageSix, Lil Nas X supposedly did not want to perform at the Governors Ball Music Festival on Sunday. According to a source, the singer even left the stage at some point, and when he returned, he informed fans that he did not want to perform.

“He said he had a bad day and just didn’t want to do it,” the source told the outlet. Additionally, the insider said that Lil Nas X performed “very begrudgingly.” According to the article, the singer was initially eager to be on stage, but the technical difficulties he experienced at the show’s beginning disturbed him.

“There were a lot of logistics that were off, and it all accumulated onstage when the mic wasn’t working. There were sound and technical difficulties for many artists,” a source said, as noted by the outlet. “It affected him because he’s a perfectionist, and this was a first for him.” the insider added.

The source continued by addressing the artist’s shows, mentioning that they are usually “built out with dancers, stage props, outfit changes. It’s an intricate show.”
