More than 500 Elvis fans and movie enthusiasts were some of the first to see the film. The stylish stars who play Elvis and Priscilla Presley walked the Red Carpet while also speaking to Canada’s nationwide press. Many fans attended with the intention of getting an autograph from the stars. Or better yet a Selfie with their favourite actor.

One fan in particular hit it big! They won a Gibson SJ-200 guitar worth more than $6,000 and even got it signed by the stars.

What a moment! After the Red Carpet, the cast and director engaged in a 30-minute Q&A period for the film. Audience members were able to watch as TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey moderated the event. This can be found on TIFF’s TikTok page.

The event showcased TIFF’s most impressive Red Carpet yet! Apparently 150+ lightbulbs were used and the Red Carpet’s length was 100 feet.

Another small detail is that the night’s aesthetic was inspired by a carnival scene from the film!

About Elvis

“From Oscar-nominated visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ drama “Elvis”, starring Austin Butler and Oscar winner Tom Hanks. The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia De Jonge).” Source: Warner Bros. Pictures Canada.
