A Perfect Pairing Is a romantic comedy about a fed-up sales exec who quits her job with the intention of starting her own wine distribution company.

Quick Synopsis

Lola, played by Victoria Justice is a hard-working, LA wine, sales executive. She is the focal point of the film. The movie begins with Lola being betrayed by a colleague and her boss giving her a hard time. This leads to Lola impulsively resigning on the spot.

With a heavy-heart, Lola decides she can only count on herself. She goes to rural Australia to claim her first client for her own wine distribution company. Her first potential client is Vaughn Family Wines. Lola begins to realize that it’ll be a difficult task because Vaughn Family Wines doesn’t want to do business with an unexperienced start-up.

Lola then digs deeper to prove her determination. She volunteers to impress the owner and ends up helping at the Vaughn sheep farm. The film’s plot is whether Lola will be able to impress her station manager: Max.

Max trains Lola to work in the farm, they form a friendship. Soon they begin to open-up to one another and it seems that Max is teaching Lola how to trust again. Will Lola succeed in achieving her first client? Will her friendship with Max be “a perfect pairing?”

A Perfect Pairing is a cute romantic comedy, but, prior to the fairy-tale ending, Max must reveal his identity to Lola. The audience knows that Lola doesn’t do well with betrayal and deceit, making this the climax of the movie. After conquering many hurdles, Lola can achieve all that she set out for. She is even able to reconnect with her ex-friend who betrayed her in the start of the movie.

These types of movies require a large suspension of disbelief. Audiences must imagine a world in which a person is easily able to quit their job and start over on the other side of the world. We must remember that it is just a movie after all! If you’re looking for some escapism and beautiful scenery, this romantic comedy is your “perfect pairing!”
