The new Apple TV+ film is a love triangle between Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed and Jeremy Allen.

The first trailer of Fingernails is dropped. It stars Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed, Jeremy Allen, Annie Murphy and Luke Wilson. Directed by Christos Nikou, he is also the producer of the film alongside Cate Blanchett. It’s Nikou’s first English-language film. He is known for the Greek movie Apples (2020).

The movie is all about the test of how much you love your partner. Anna (Jessie Buckley) and Ryan (Jeremy Allen) took the love test three years ago, and the result was positive. However, she started to question their relationship. On the other hand, she wants to work at a love testing institute. In the movie, the scientists have built a machine, where they put the fingernails of both partners to determine whether they are in love or not. The reason for this test is to make the bond of love stronger.

Eventually, she gets the job and starts shadowing the institute’s most successful instructor Amir, played by Riz Ahmed.

It premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.

It will stream on Apple TV+ and in selected theatres on November 3. Watch the trailer below.
