On November 9th, Hunter launches its first Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC) certified collection, marking its ongoing commitment to source products ethically and sustainably. This collection features two of the brand’s most classic styles, the FSC Certified Original Tall Rain Boots and the FSC Certified Original Short Rain Boots.

More than just a boot, the first Forest Stewardship Council®-certified collection comes in Olive, uses the materials that meet FSC®’s high standards and commits to continue sourcing their rubber from deforestation-free, environmentally conscious and socially responsible natural rubber independently audited to ensure the protection of the natural resources, the local biodiversity and the rights and well-being of the people in the supply chain and our local community.

While Hunter ensures their commitment to their promise of sourcing products ethically and sustainably they also guarantee respect for human rights and the well-being of their staff, animal welfare and the environment, using Forest Stewardship Council®-certified products allows Hunter to be fully transparent on its commitment. In addition, Hunter uses rubber from plantations in China, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam because they’re near their factories which helps reduce the carbon footprint of their products and their rubber has the highest quality.

In 2019, Hunter launched Hunter ReBoot in partnership with First Mile. Hunter ReBoot is a recycling solution for their rubber boots, they define it as an end-of-life programme that upcycles their customers’ well’ loved boots into equestrian arena flooring, playground surfacing, roads, kickboxing bag filler and a myriad of other products. This programme is also a way of reducing the product’s carbon footprint by recycling 175 pairs of Hunter boots 1 tonne of CO2 is saved from being emitted into the atmosphere. The programme is only available in the UK, but Hunter is looking to extend the service worldwide.
