Katy Perry is facing backlash for comments said during this past season of ‘American Idol‘, even getting booed from fans at one point. In an interview with FOX Luke Bryan was asked if he believes fans of the show are too harsh on Perry. He responded saying, “Katy Perry’s been dealing with stuff like that her whole career. We all get it… I mean we’re all judging kids that people fall in love with… We’re not gonna bat 1,000 as judges.” Bryan says with the format of the show they get “set up” as judges “to where people can get very vocal on socials and stuff.”

Or go for a fun moment.” He said entertainers are “conditioned” for backlash and “calloused” to its effects, adding, “Sometimes you just gotta say stuff, it may be my year, next year.” He finished by saying “It makes me appreciate her even more, just how big of a scale she’s had to deal with that her whole career.”
