Love Is Blind is back for its eighth season on Netflix, and this time, there’s a big change that’s catching the attention of viewers—the music.

In past seasons, the show was known for using lesser-known tracks during scene transitions. However, season eight brings in a fresh sound with well-known, mainstream hits that fans instantly recognize. From classics like “Can’t Fight This Feeling” to “Birds of a Feather,” the new soundtrack is packed with major hits that shocked fans.

So, why the shift after eight seasons?

Chris Coelen, the creator and producer of the show, revealed that the updated soundtrack is part of a special celebration for the show’s fifth anniversary. As noted here, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he explained that music plays a significant role in a show about love. “We felt it was time to incorporate some of the iconic love songs,” Coelen said.

While he didn’t claim to have included all-time great love songs, Coelen emphasized that the goal was to feature a selection of songs that would enhance the show’s theme. He also noted that the songs were strategically chosen and placed in the right moments to elevate the storytelling experience.
