McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets Lawsuit

As noted in the article, a US-based McDonald’s and a franchise owner have been found responsible regarding the severe burns a girl suffered after a hot chicken nugget reportedly fell on her leg. Apparently, the jury involved in the case determined that the franchise owner and McDonald’s did not provide adequate instructions for ‘safe food handling” leading to the injury. The jury has supposedly yet to decide how much McDonald’s and the franchise owner will have to pay the family.

Hot Chicken Nuggets McDonald’s

The lawsuit was filed in 2019 after the couple’s 4-year-old daughter allegedly suffered second-degree burns from a hot chicken nugget that fell on her leg from a Happy Meal.

It was argued that the chicken nugget was deemed “defective, harmful and unfit for human handling”.
