June 10, 2024Sabrina Carpenter performed her new hit single “Please Please Please” to thousands of screaming fans at the 2024 Governor’s Ball in New York City, NY.

Carpenter, dressed in a yellow sequined corset and white boots, performed on Flushing Meadows Corona Park’s wide stage alongside her backup dancers. Her flirty and feminine style has landed her the title of the “Real-Life Polly Pocket” by Teen Vogue.

Headliners for the Governor’s Ball included Post Malone, SZA, the Killers, 21 Savage, Peso Pluma, and Rauw Alejandro.

In an Instagram post, Carpenter said “Gov ball that was one of the biggest, loudest, most playful crowds I’ve ever seen. So grateful for each and every one of you! Thanks for having us.”

“Please Please Please” was released on June 6, 2024, and has reached close to eight million streams on Spotify, making it the third most played track globally.

Not spotted in the crowd or backstage was Carpenter’s rumored beau, Barry Keoghan. Unlike the Governor’s Ball, Keoghan was spotted right in front of the stage during Carpenter’s Coachella set back in April.

The music video for “Please Please Please” features Keoghan as Carpenter’s love interest, an ex-convict bad boy, seemingly confirming their real-life romance. Songs “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” are released ahead of her sixth studio album “Short n’ Sweet”, which is set to be released on August 23, 2024.
