Carson, 32, was a social justice and human rights activist, and he and his girlfriend were allegedly traveling home from a wedding when the incident took place. They were waiting at a bus stop at around 4 a.m. Monday when the suspect came up to them, demanding to know what they were looking at before stabbing him multiple times, killing him. The community is rocked by the incident, and Carson’s roommate is devastated by the loss. A vigil has been held for him and there are tributes pouring in. The suspect was allegedly acting erratically before the attack and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
