After taking over Season 27 of The Bachelor, Zach Shallcross has decided who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. On Monday, March 27, during the Bachelor finale, Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaity Biggar.

Following a challenging week of dates at the Fantasy Suites, Zach was able to arrange for the final two ladies, Kaity Biggar and Gabi Elnicki, to meet his family in one of the season’s final remaining capability tests.

When it came to choosing between the two, Zach made an effort to persuade the viewers that this was a two-person race, but as the show progressed, it became increasingly clear that there was only one person, and it wasn’t going to be Gabi. At their grand proposal scene, Zach said to Kaity, “Everything was you.”

After saying goodbye to Gabi Elnicki earlier in the episode, Zach proposed to Kaity. With Zach’s earlier pledge that he wouldn’t be sexual with anybody on the show, things between the finalists became awkward during the rose ceremony on March 20 when Kaity revealed that Zach had admitted to her that he had sex with Gabi in the fantasy suite.

Before he knelt down, Zach, said, “I can no longer say I’m falling in love with you, because, Kaity Lane, I am so in love with you. You are my world. The love I feel for you is something I could’ve never imagined and something I thought a lot of my life I would never be able to deserve.”

He adds, “I love you so much. I love you with all my heart. You’re the face I want to wake up to every morning. I want to go through life with you and only you. Kaity, I want to be with you forever. … You’re the only one I want in my life. … Kaity, will you marry me?”

After Peter Weber proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss during the 2020 season, Zach is the first Bachelor to get down on one knee. Season 26’s Clayton Echard left the show unmarried, and season 25’s Matt James chose not to propose to Rachael Kirkconnell, the show’s winner.
