The Weeknd Changes His Socials To His Legal Name
The Weeknd causes some commotion online after changing his social media bio to his birth-given name.
This is no surprise to some after Abel has discussed his future using the alias, ‘The Weeknd’, and how he’s ready to wrap it up with The Weeknd’s career.
“It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter,” he told W Magazine in an interview. “I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn.” (Via W Magazine)
Although fans knew that this change would happen eventually, they definitely didn’t expect that change anytime soon. Could the retirement of The Weeknd be on the rise?
