Season 2 of Twisted Metal will premiere on Peacock.

Peacock announces season two of Twisted Metal. The main lead and executive producer, Anthony Mackie, announced it during the Game Awards ceremony.

“I have to give a Sweet Tooth-sized thank you to our incredible fans – I read every comment and was so blown away by everyone’s love, support, and rabid enthusiasm for a paper bag. We are beyond thankful we get to continue the story of John Doe, Quiet, and Sweet Tooth as they face off against familiar faces and new grim foes in the long-awaited Twisted Metal tournament. The mixtape is made, and I’m thrilled to get back on the road with our stellar cast and crew,” Michael Jonathan Smith, showrunner, writer and executive producer, said in a statement.

The first season premiered on July 27, 2023. It stars Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, Will Arnett (voice for the villainous Sweet Tooth) and Thomas Haden Church. The guest stars are Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Lou Beatty Jr., Chloe Fineman and Jason Mantzoukas. The ten-episode season was nominated for the Best Adaptation at the Game Awards 2023.

It’s based on the video game of the same name by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The executive producers are Anthony Mackie, Michael Jonathan Smith, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Will Arnett and Marc Forman (Electric Avenue), Jason Spire (Inspire Entertainment), Peter Principato (Artists First), Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions and Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios.
