Actress Jenna Ortega recently revealed why she left Twitter (Now called X). Jenna, now 21, has been very popular in the media in the last few years. She has starred in projects like Wednesday and Scream. However, many young people first saw Jenna Ortega staring as Harley Diaz in the Disney Channel show “Stuck In The Middle.”. Jenna claims she had to separate herself from the social media app because of how some people acted towards her as a minor.
“I hate AI. Did I like being 14 and making a Twitter account because I was supposed to and seeing dirty edited content of me as a child? No. It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong.” Jenna said to The Interview Podcast. She was able to remember receiving sexually explicit content back when she was only 12 years old. However, she said that was just the start of the inappropriate content, and she had to separate herself for her wellbeing.
Many people can side with Jenna’s distaste for AI. While it has been shown to be a creative enhancement for our modern world, it’s also been used in non-consensual ways. Whether that’s nude photos, political propaganda, etc., many people’s likenesses have been used to generate AI content. Although AI doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, some people might want certain precautions in place to prevent future inappropriate situations.
