According to this TikTok video posted by user @nawalornoel, Zara is allegedly in hot water after new campaign images seemingly mimic the images coming out of Gaza as a result of the current events surrounding the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

As the TikToker notes, the campaign features- what looks to be- broken concrete and mannequins or statues wrapped up in white sheets. The TikToker claims that these images are seemingly distressing because they look like the “stuff that we’re seeing on a daily basis in Gaza” as a result of the conflict.

The TikToker claims that although it could just be a campaign idea, the company could’ve “bookmarked” the campaign idea for when everything involving the Israeli–Palestinian conflict was over. So- is the brand doing this on purpose or it is being out of touch in relation to the images and footage that are coming out of the conflict?

Some commenters on the above TikTok video have claimed that the images seem to be removed from the website, supposedly following this alleged backlash.
