Billie Eilish Talks Breakup With Jesse Rutherford

Earlier this year it was confirmed that the controversial relationship between Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford has ended.

Now, for the first time since their breakup, Billie Eilish publicly spoke about their controversial relationship and where they stand now post-breakup. During a Q&A via Instagram Stories, one fan simply asked “Jesse???” and Billie replied “very very good friends only, my homie forever”. Not long ago, a close source confirmed that the two “remain good friends”, but this is a direct confirmation from Billie herself.

In an additional Instagram Story, Billie confirmed that she is single! A fan asked “Are you dating anyone?” to which she replied “NO SIRRRRRRR ???”.

Age Difference

Their relationship lasted less than a year, but was considered very controversial due to them being ten years apart in age, with Billie being twenty-one and Jesse being thirty-one at the start of their relationship. But when they first met Billie was fifteen years old and Jesse was twenty six.

They confirmed their relationship on Instagram with a photo of themselves at a Halloween party where Billie was dressed as a baby and Jesse was dressed as an old man (referring to their age gap).

Her older brother, and producer, Finneas O’Connell defended Billie, and their relationship, from criticism saying “I want my sister to be happy and safe, and she is a 21 year old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions.”

As of right now, there is no direct confirmation as to why the pair split, but rumors say that there was cheating involved. Another source told media that “All cheating rumors are false”, but, again, there is no direct confirmation from Eilish or Rutherford.
