What is daring, vibrant, lined, and makes for a great summer look? If you guessed coloured eyeliner, then give yourself a pat on the back because you are correct.
This popular beauty trend has been sweeping our timelines from some of our favourite models and we could not be more excited to add a pop of colour to our makeup routines. From a clean wing, to a reverse eyeliner, there are many ways to wear colorful eyeliner, regardless of your skill level, or how much you fear bold shades.
Paris Jackson
Although Paris Jackson’s striking blue eyes are already a statement, the young actress/model took her lids to a new height just by applying white eyeliner. Jackson tried a different approach by applying a thicker shape as well as topping it off by adding a thin extra black layer to the tips of her wings (how does she makes it look so easy?) This liner fits with the model’s radically cool and grungy style. If you want to mirror Ms. Jackson’s edgy flare take notes.
Joan Smalls
Electric blue? Say no more. Joan Smalls’ explosive liner is sure to make your eyes pop regardless of how bright or dark they may be. With festival season coming up, the mega supermodel gave us a glimpse of how to pull off electrifying hues because let us face it – these colours certainly do look intimidating to wear. But there is no need to fear (we thank you Joan for this proof) since the gateway into wearing colourful eyeliner is with a sharp clean line. We are all about baby steps here, and you can achieve this look just by starting off (Joan) small.
Leomie Anderson
Victoria’s Secret model, Leomie Anderson’s, neon yellow cat eyes certainly does not look out of place at Coachella Valley’s music festival. Like Jackson, (who was captured hanging out with Anderson under the desert sun) the model/activist used black liner with her glowing colour – this is a trend that we can all get behind. For those of you who are feeling bold, neon’s are a foolproof way of standing out at any event you are attending.
