Iconic British heritage brand Hunter is doubling down on its commitment to the planet by launching its sustainability and accountability initiative: Hunter Protect.

Hunter has a deep appreciation of nature, which is fundamental to the brand. History is rooted in the hands of its users, which includes all of us people. As such, it is imperative that we also protect and care for our environment and our global community. Hunter continues to develop their legacy by preserving and restoring our forests for future generations.

Hunter Protect, the new initiative, will detail Hunter’s special relationship with the forest and how the brand protects and supports the environment and people around it – from using innovative lower impact materials to supporting its communities. Defined by the three pillars of protecting forestsresources and communities, Hunter will hold themselves accountable to:

  • By 2025, all its rubber footwear will be Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) certified.
  • By 2022, the brand will offset all direct carbon emissions from global stores and offices.
  • By 2022, 100% of its packaging will be recyclable.
  • Donate a further 15,000 pairs of fully functional boots to global charities, including those that respond to natural disasters, pandemics, and the refugee crisis.

Since 2011 the brand has been working towards responsible initiatives, and with the appointment of new Chief Executive Officer Paolo Porta in March 2021, they have produced pledges that that will support the environment and people around it.

The world of fashion is always moving fast, but so is the state of our environment, so start getting yourself familiar with brands such as Hunter that are committed to sustainability and protecting the planet as well as its people.
