Nostalgic for the golden era of fashion? Strut down the runway of time with female-run powerhouse, Into Archive. The vintage e-boutique is brimming with highly curated pieces from luxury brands including Christian Dior, Chanel, Prada, and more. After gaining the attention of celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Cardi B, Bella Hadid, and Post Malone, the Canadian e-boutique has become a major player in the upscale recycling market.
Into the collection
What sets the collection apart is its emphasis on curated, standout styles. Each piece makes a statement and is carefully selected by founder Kate Mao. Mao’s goal is to not just enhance the vintage clothing cycle but to also “educate customers about the stories behind the pieces and how they were created”.
Into the inspiration
Twenty-four year old Kate Mao has had an interest in vintage fashion from an early age. At just 16, she built an impressive collection of vintage finds through sites like eBay and Depop. She continued to develop this collection while completing a degree in Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. After gaining an extensive amount of interest through her online listings, Mao had the foundation to create her own company. Into Archive has grown steadily, boasting over 1500 luxury pieces for sale or rent to this day.
Into the future
While making waves in the vintage luxury market, Into Archive has exciting plans for the future. The boutique aims to introduce consignment portals and participate in more collabs. The company’s vintage collection ‘Into Ike’, is set to grow with items that cater to men as well as women. There are also plans for a NYC based event in Soho showcasing museum archive pieces for sale. This exciting venture will take place in the spring and will be open to the public for around a week.
