Lorde has finally joined TikTok, with her first post teasing new music. While the clip was only brief, it has left fans excited for new music.

Before teasing the song on her new TikTok account, Lorde had wiped her website and social media. On Wednesday, April 9 she shared her first TikTok post. Specifically, the 15-second video features Lorde walking through New York City’s Washington Square Park. Meanwhile, the video has a snippet of a song that is comparable to her work on Melodrama and Pure Heroine.

“Since I was 17, I gave you everything / Now we wake from a dream, well baby, what was that?/ What was that?” she sings in the clip.

Her previous album Solar Power was released after she took a 4 year hiatus from music. However, fans of the 28-year-old singer will know that she normally drops a new album every four years, with this also being the case for Pure Heroine and Melodrama. Solar Power was released in 2021 and fans can assume that a new album is on the way.

Jim-E Stack Lorde

Allegedly, she will be teaming up with producer Jim-E Stack for her fourth album. Stack has seemingly confirmed this by posting a picture of Lorde in his studio last year. Stack has worked with artists such as Gracie Abrams and Bon Iver. Similar to Lorde, these two artists are known for their emotionally charged songs, which has left fans feeling confident in this collaboration.
