R&B singer SZA is going to release two different projects soon. One being a deluxe version of SOS, while the other is a new album titled Lana.

November 30, 2024- As outlined in Rolling Stone, SZA has been teasing the release of both projects since late 2023. Rumor has it that the singer is dating Travis Scott but this remains unconfirmed. However, what is confirmed is the arrival of new music. For instance, the singer mentioned both projects when she appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone during this time. In addition, the singer posted cover art on Instagram for both albums in December 2023. The two projects were initially going to be released as one, but SZA revealed in March 2024 that they would be separate after a series of “throwbacks and leaks.”

SZA has stated that she is excited about this new music and the direction it is taking. “I think I am making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place versus a more angsty place,” SZA told British Vogue. “I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity. It’s shit that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”

As outlined in Billboard, SZA’s previous projects have been the favorites of both music critics and fans alike, making both excited for her new releases. For instance, Kendrick Lamar praises her new project, stating, “I recognize a more expressive SZA. The shy s— is completely out the window – to a degree, at least.” “She has the answers to some of the things she was curious about and is willing to tell it all in the most disruptive yet beautiful compositions this generation has ever heard,“ the musician states.
