Just as indoor dining resumes and the Halton regions restrictions lift, Oakville’s Oliver’s steakhouse on 141 Lakeshore Road East, possibly exposes 200 guests to the new COVID-19 variant.

It is reported that 5 of the restaurant’s staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 and that it is possible that they might have exposed their guests who have visited the restaurant between March 8 through March 13. The Halton health administration is saying that these guests are encouraged to a stay-at-home quarantine for 14 days and should get tested for the virus.

The possibility of these guests having being exposed to the variant is high because the Halton region alone has 24 confirmed cases, which could have been exposed from this restaurant.

As of right now Halton region is in the red zone and is allowed for 10 people at a time indoor dining, and hope to be increasing this number to 50. With this case at Oliver’s steakhouse, it is possible these plans change, if more positive cases arise from the restaurant.
