Rumors are swirling regarding who might play Dorothy in the latest installment of Wicked: Part Two. One fan theory alleges it could be Dove Cameron.

Wicked Part 2 Cast Dorothy
Some fan theories claim that Cameron has been chosen to play Dorothy in the latest installment, slated to hit theatres in November 2025. Cameron was also rumored to have auditioned for the role of Glinda in Wicked: Part One. Allegedly, other big names in the industry- such as Amanda Seyfried, Reneé Rapp, and Taylor Louderman- also auditioned for Glinda before it was given to Ariana Grande.
However, even though the rumored claims online allege that Cameron was reportedly chosen for the role of Dorothy, this is simply not true. The actress for Dorothy has not been chosen- or at least named- yet. As this article from Cosmopolitan claims, director Jon Chu spoke with Variety about the role of Dorothy Gale in the new film, claiming that he won’t say for certain “whether she’s a character, necessarily, in movie two” so we will have to wait and see who gets the part, if so.

There are also claims on this Reddit thread about Alisha Weir playing Dorothy- again, this remains unconfirmed. Some commenters alleged that Dorothy’s character might take away from the storyline while others claimed that Wicked casting directors have looked at casting from “Matilda and West End musicals” for Wicked. However, this is unconfirmed as well.
As of right now, it is still up in the air who will allegedly be playing Dorothy. At the end of Wicked: Part One we see a small moment where Dorothy can be seen walking on the yellow brick road but only time will tell about this role in the newest film set to hit theatres next year.
