With so many eyes on Liverpool for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, the city is preparing for an influx of visitors. If you are travelling there for the event, or for any reason at all, then here are some of the best-reviewed hotels in the area. Staybridge Suites Liverpool

Staybridge Suites Liverpool is one of the highest-rated hotels in the Royal Albert Docks area, a stone’s throw away from the M&S Bank (formerly Echo) Arena where Eurovision will be hosted.

The M&S Bank is second only to Anfield when it comes to Liverpool event venues, and this year it is hosting Eurovision on behalf of Ukraine. Despite this, Ukraine has its odds at 12/1 with the Eurovision 2023 betting crowd, behind Sweden and Finland with 8/13 and 15/8 respectively.

The Arena has hosted football and the WWE in its time, but this year it has opened its gates to fans of the song contest as they swap sports betting tips for info on the best performers in Europe and their odds of taking the top spots. Sweden, for example, is leading the odds because their act won the contest in 2012.

If the name sounds familiar, Staybridge Suites have locations all over the world managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group, or IHG. This venue is better suited to longer-term or corporate travellers, which makes it ideal for a longer vacation rather than a weekend getaway. Rooms start at £80 ($130+ CAD) per night with 100 studio suites available to claim.

Staying there will get you a one-bedroom suite, 24/7 fitness centre and access to The Pantry, where guests can find amenities. They also host social events which can come with free meals as part of them. It’s close to Liverpool’s most important stations like Central, Lime Street, and Moorfields, allowing travel to the wider area if desired.

Pullman Liverpool Hotel

Located south of the M&S Bank Arena and the Staybridge Suites building, the Pullman Liverpool Hotel is part of Kings Dock and is the largest hotel here with 216 rooms. That means it has more availability and can handle longer-stay visitors. Rooms are priced between £70 and £100 ($119 CAD and $170 CAD) depending on if you choose superior or deluxe suites.

Each of the hotel’s rooms comes with a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, and access to the venue’s restaurant and its theatre kitchen where you can watch the chefs cook. The restaurant also shows Sky Sports channels for free, fitting for one of England’s biggest sporting cities.

Hilton Liverpool City Centre

Last but certainly not least, the Hilton Liverpool City Centre can be found exactly where you’d expect. Its unique position out of the three venues here allows visitors access to unparalleled amenities and entertainment outside of the big show itself. Being in the city centre, it’s just a 15-minute drive from Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, home of last year’s FA Cup winners Liverpool. This hotel has ready access to the city’s Great British high streets and the Liverpool ONE shopping centre the hotel is named after.

The hotel comes with all the luxuries you’d expect from the Hilton Hotels name, such as room service (including concierge), an on-site restaurant, and a digital key to secure your room. There are tiered rooms available for single guests, business travellers, and families with the larger capacity rooms costing more. There are 215 rooms available, making it the second biggest venue here.
