Bronny James Hospitalized

Famous basketball player LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, was hospitalized late last night. He was practicing at the University of Southern California when he suddenly collapsed from cardiac arrest. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention describes cardiac arrest as an occurrence “when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating therefore blood stops flowing to the rest of the body.” This is not the same as a heart attack.

There is no word on what caused the cardiac arrest, but there has been a statement released on behalf of the James family. It reads, “Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
