Horrific Chinese New Year Shooting in Monterrey Park, California.

A Lunar New Year shooting took place near Los Angeles killing 10 people on Saturday Evening, January 21st. The shooting was first reported at 10:22p.m PST. The lone shooter killed 10 people and injured 10 others who were taken to hospitals in the surrounding area to be treated.

Of the 10 people shot, their conditions were noted from stable to critical. The Chinese New Year shooting took place inside of a ballroom dance studio located at West Garvey Avenue in Monterey Park.

La County Sherriff’s Department Captain Andrew Meyer held a press conference on Sunday morning and said that the male gunman ran away from the scene and has not been located. No further details about the suspect have been released.

The police department is also investigating another scene two miles north of Monterey Park in Alhambra, which may be related. Stay tuned as the story develops. Our condolences to all of the families of the loves ones killed.
