Scrubs actors collaborated with John Travolta

Zach Braff and Donald Faison from Scrubs collaborated with John Travolta in the Super Bowl commercial. The three of them advertised T-Mobile’s internet service by singing a parody version of “Summer Nights”, a song made famous in 1978 when Travolta acted for Grease, Entertainment Weekly reported. The dance moves they did in the commercial were also choreographed as a homage to the iconic movie. This recreation of the song and the revised dance moves had been done as a way to pay respect to John Travolta’s former co-star Olivia Newton-John, who passed away six months ago because of breast cancer.

John Travolta kindness

Zach Braff reportedly was excited and honored to meet John Travolta, who he said was “very generous and kind with answering all of [Braff and Faison’s] questions”. During the filming of the commercial, which took place in Los Angeles, both Braff and Faison could hardly contain the fact that they had been long-time fans of the Grease actor. Fortunately, Travolta was more than happy to engage them in lively conversations about his past movies, including Saturday Night Fever, Face/Off, and Pulp Fiction.

Interest in the classic Grease movie not new

Grease is a classic movie for a reason and even Harry Styles was not immune from the movie’s charm. Back in October of last year, the former One Direction singer dressed up as Grease‘s main character Danny Zuko as a part of his “Harryween” annual concert. Staying true to Danny Zuko’s fashion sense, Harry Styles wore a leather jacket and black jeans while singing a rendition of “Hopelessly Devoted to You”, a hit song once sung by Olivia Newton-John.
