Andrew Tate Charged

The influencer Andrew Tate has been indicted, charged, and will soon face trial for, alleged, rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group. The investigation into Tate has been in progress since last year. Both he and his brother were arrested last December after Andrew posted a video in response to climate activist Greta Thunberg calling him out for his vehicles’ emissions on Twitter. A pizza box in the video revealed his location to Romanian authorities. The brothers have been on house arrest since this March.

Andrew Tate Organized Crime

According to the indictment submitted by the Bucharest Court, in 2021, Tate was involved in forming an organized crime group to traffic young women throughout Romania, The United States, and The United Kingdom.

Seven alleged victims came forward testifying that they “were recruited by the Tate brothers through false promises of love and marriage.” Romanian prosecutors say these alleged victims were “taken to buildings in Ilfov county in Romania where they were intimidated, placed under constant surveillance and control and forced into debt”. Then Tate, along with the other defendants, would allegedly force these women to take part in pornography to post on the website Only Fans. During this time Andrew Tate also allegedly raped a woman twice while seeking to enlist her as a victim in this human trafficking organization.

The Tate brothers’ representatives said, “While this news is undoubtedly predictable, we embrace the opportunity it presents to demonstrate their innocence and vindicate their reputation.”
